A Different Date

If you’ve been on the lookout for a while, then you’re probably bored with the whole dinner and movie routine. So it’s quite possible that the woman you’ve just asked out is equally bored with it. Dating is a difficult enough process, without having to think of new things to do on a date. So if you want to be relatively sure of getting the chance to ask her again, here are a few ideas that might help.

Unless it is a really great movie that she’s mentioned she wants to watch, our suggestion is not to do this on a first date. There are other things you can do on a first date. It’s nearly impossible not to love a picnic on a pleasant summer afternoon. Ask her out on a weekend, and all you need to carry is a blanket, a picnic basket with treats from your local deli, and some sparkling water. What’s not to love about a picnic? You can also do something touristy in your city – something that natives of the city never do, simply because the chance will always be there. Go visit a museum – and impress her with your knowledge about paintings and sculpture, go for a dinner boat ride, or get tickets to a sports event. But do find out if she’s interested first. If she’s the outdoorsy type, you might want to consider something as simple as a walk. Think of a date where it’ll just be the two of you, getting to know each other on an undemanding hike through the woods.

It might seem easier to just go to a coffee shop, but if you’re hoping to date this person for a long time, first impressions will matter. It’ll show you’ve put some thought into dating her, and not just suggested the first mundane thing that popped into your mind.
