It turns out that men watch women more closely than we think – and draw some very interesting conclusions about compatibility issues – and this is especially true of a first date. Not all of us are divas, but don’t take men for granted by acting pampered and entitled. Here is what they watch out for in a potential match:
Were you tardy? Men do consider their time valuable. Show consideration by being prompt. You’ll get brownie points for being on time.
Did you place food and drink orders that are uncomplicated and easy to come by? If you did, you created a favorable impression – of not being fussy and difficult to please. Bonus points for you, babe.
Can you deal nonchalantly with unplanned circumstances? If it starts raining, do you take it in your stride? If there is some change in plan, are you flexible or do you go ballistic? Your reactions in these scenarios can speak volumes about the kind of person you are and you prospective match is not missing a thing.
Did you try to participate in the date? It may not have been a typical ‘dinner and a movie’ date, but something involving outdoor activity. Did you get involved though you were a novice at it – at least give it a sporting shot? A man likes to check out if a woman has gall and gumption. You score if you do.
